Camden Center for Environmental Transformation

All of our barrels are upcycled 55 gallon food grade barrels from the factory down the street. Camden residents are employed in the production of the rain barrels. The use of a rain barrel is a tremendous act of environmental justice.

Completed barrels are $100, and plain barrels are $15.

To purchase a rain barrel please e-mail aferich@gmail.com with the title "rain barrel"

Each barrel 7will divert thousands of gallons of storm water away from the overburdened combined sewage system which sometimes flood and fill the city streets, basements, and rivers with sewage.

This is an image of Waterfront South during a recent rain.

Please looked for future information about the Camden SMART (storm water management and resource training). We will be growing over 2,000 native rain garden plants at our greenhouse for over 40 rain gardens in Camden City this year in collaboration with Rutgers, CCMUA, Cooper's Ferry, The New Jersey Tree Foundation, an array of non-profits in the city, and sponsored by the EPA.

Dedicated to environmental transformation
and environmental justice particularly in the Waterfront South neighborhood of Camden,
New Jersey
